ADIB launches new smartdeals app for customers

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has launched a new mobile app offering a wide range of exclusive deals to customers holding any of the bank’s cards.

The free ADIB smartdeals app provides a new, convenient channel for customers to make significant savings across fine and casual dining, shopping, lifestyle, wellness, travel, car rental and family activities.

“We are always striving to implement technological solutions to deliver a banking experience which can enhance our customers’ lifestyles. The intuitive ADIB smartdeals app provides access to deals which can enable customers to make significant savings while also keeping careful track of their finances. Through partnerships with some of the region’s leading retail and entertainment brands, we have assembled an array of exciting offers on a mobile app which is convenient to access and simple for our customers to enjoy,” said Philip King, Head of Retail Banking in the UAE at ADIB. 

Competing with the UAE’s best deal apps, the ADIB smartdeals app currently holds over 1,000 offers across the UAE and Oman, including a range of exclusive iftar and suhoor offers. The platform encompasses features which allow customers to track spending and savings, rate and prioritise their favourite deals, use Google Maps to reach offer locations, while also delivering special alerts for seasonal promotions.

Over 75 per cent of deals available through smartdeals allow for unlimited redemptions, with the app’s analytics harnessing data collected to promote relevant offers based on a customer’s individual preferences. 

ADIB has witnessed rapid growth in customers using digital channels led by mobile devices. Users of ADIB’s digital banking channels have more than doubled in the last 12 months, while smartphone transactions increased by 72 per cent in the first quarter of 2017. As part of its digital innovations strategy, the Bank has also recently revamped its internet banking platform to enable customers to conduct their banking online in a simpler and more intuitive manner consistent with the look and feel of the new mobile app.
